How to: 5 strand braid out of loony braids

Helpful tutorials:
3 strand braid
5 strand braid

You'll need:
One elastic for the ponytail
Six small elastics

A bow (optional)

How to do this hairstyle?
  1. Make a ponytail from all of the hair. Of course you could do this style without a ponytail.
  2. Divide the hair into 5 about equal strands. If you like, use elastics to keep the strands seperate.
  3. Now take one of the 5 strands and divide this strand into 3 strands. Mind: make sure you have 1 big strand and 2 thin strands. Dividing the hair like this makes the braid look 'loony', hence the name!
  4. Do a regular braid with this 1 big and 2 small strands. Finish off with a small elastic.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other 4 strands. You'll now have 5 loony braids.
  6. Create a 5 strand braid out of these 5 loony braids. Finish off with a small elastic.
  7. If you like, finish off the style with a bow above the ponytail. My bow is from Bowtikii.
Good luck!
