How to: twists with a small bun

Helpful tutorials:
Twisted updo
Twist
Lace braid

You'll need:
Two small elastics
Two elastics for your bun
A small donut (bun maker), preferabbly in a color matching the hair color
Bobby pins
A bow (optional)

How to do this hairstyle?
  1. Part the hair down the middle or, if you like, just off centre.
  2. Take a small section of hair on one side of the part and divide this into two strands.
  3. Start a lace twist with this hair. For a lace twist, you'll only add in hair on the front strand (the one closest to the face), just like in the tutorial Twisted updo.
  4. Keep adding in hair until you've reached the ear and then continue a regular twist without adding in hair. Finish off with a small elastic.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the other side of the part.
  6. Now comb the hair on top of the head back. Take the top section and add the twists to this. Put an elastic around the twists and the top hair together.
  7. Put the small donut around this small ponytail. If you like, you can use a bobby pin to secure the donut, so it won't move.
  8. Spread out the hair from the small ponytail over the small donut, so you can't see the donut anymore. Then put an elastic around it.
  9. Secure flyaways and loose ends with bobby pins. If you have long hair, you can wrap the hair around the bun first and then pin it into place.
  10. If you like, finish off the style with a bow above the bun. My bow is from Bowtikii.
Good luck!
