Microbraids

One of my favorite ways to change a regular braid is using microbraids. I don't mean using tiny braids here, but braiding with one of the strands being a braid.

The photos are showing you two example of braids with microbraids. In the first photo I've done a regular 3 strand braid with one of the strands being a braid. In the second photo you're seeing a 4 strand braid with one of the strands being a braid. Creating the microbraid, or the braided strand in your braid, is something you always do first, then you'll braid the rest of the hair.

If you wanna do a regular (3 strand) braid with a microbraid, then it doesn't matter which strand you use for your microbraid. If you're doing a 4 strand braid with a microbraid, then make sure the microbraid begins as strand 3, counted from the side where you start braiding.

On YouTube I also have two examples of microbraids: the 4 strand braid with microbraid and the French braid to a 4 strand braid.

Tip: instead of a microbraid you could also do a microtwist or a microfishtail braid or a microbraid with 4 strands, etc...
