One of the things I like about braiding, is that you have a lot of options. Of course there are loads of different braiding techniques with which you can do all kinds of different things, but even 1 braiding technique can result in a lot of different hairstyles. Take French braiding for example: you can do a French braid with all of the hair, you can do 2 French braids, you could French braid only part of the hair, you could start with a French braid and then make a ponytail... 1 braiding technique, but a lot of options already.
Braids are often ideal for a second hairstyle on a day as well. You could wear two braids for example during the day and take them out in the evening with waves/curls as result. A fun option when you have a party at night!
Something I like as well, is turning braids into an updo. By the day I did these two Dutch fishtails one day and in the evening, I turned them into an updo for a dinner party I had. Cute, beautiful and mostly: quick!
